Boosting Safety for Harley Owners
When Harley-Davidson® needed a new training program for leaders of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.®) across the United States, the MessageMakers team was ready to help.
Harley-Davidson was ready to develop an engaging and concise way to communicate its policies four times a year with 3,000 volunteer chapter offices in all locations around the country. Their goal? Building a culture of safety and compliance through stronger internal communications.
MessageMakers worked with the Harley-Davidson team to develop and produce two-day training sessions that included curriculum, training structures and materials. We also helped support opportunities for training the trainers, in addition to providing slides and videos for general and course breakout sessions.
We sent a 20-person team to plan and execute site feasibility and technical support for each course session. Moreover, we provided and managed all the staging, lighting, and audio/visual equipment for the events including a party with band and stage entertainment at each location.
Not only did we meet the goal of contributing to a significant boost in safety, but our work also helped foster strong compliance with legal and procedural requirements. H.O.G. membership has grown 144 percent since the program’s inception and participants give the events an average satisfaction rating of 99 percent.
