Helping Volunteer Leaders to Ride and Have Fun
When Harley-Davidson® needed a new training program for leaders of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.®) around the world, the MessageMakers team was ready to help. The goal? Informing and educating members and dealers, promoting the motorcycling culture and enhancing the Harley-Davidson brand. Spanning 16 years, MessageMakers has developed over 60 courses (on topics such as Conducting a Safe Group Ride, Recruiting, Training, and Retaining Volunteers, Risk Management, Promoting Events Through Social Media) and produced over 80 conferences in 12 languages across the United States and in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Bali, China and Japan.
MessageMakers worked with subject matter experts to develop the courses, produced all course materials and videos, trained the trainers, wrote executives’ speeches, provided speech coaching and designed the creative for the conferences. Further, MessageMakers conducted advance site visits to help select venues, provided AV equipment (staging, lighting, audio, video, projectors, screens) and sent producers and AV technicians to all sites to ensure seamless and successful production. H.O.G. membership grew 144 percent (from 450,000 to nearly 1 million) since the program’s inception and participants have given the events an average satisfaction rating of 99 percent.
