Q: Why did you choose MessageMakers?

Emmy Nomination for MessageMakers

MessageMakers was given the great honor of receiving a Michigan Emmy nomination for their work on the 2016 documentary, Second Shift: From Crisis to Collaboration. They were nominated in the category for Best Documentary - Historical.

Second Shift: From Crisis to Collaboration tells the compelling story of how the city of Lansing saved itself in the early 2000’s. When GM was prepared to leave Lansing, leaders of the community convinced them to invest billions instead.

MessageMakers Terry Terry Receives Creative Community Award

This past December, the Arts Council of Greater Lansing awarded MessageMakers President, Terry Terry, with the 2018 Creative Community Award. This award recognizes those who have spearheaded creative placemaking, supported culture and advocated for creativity in the Greater Lansing area.

CATALYST: Capital Region Prosperity Project

CATALYST: Capital Region Prosperity Project is coming on Tuesday, October 21st at the Lansing Center from 8:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M. Business owners, young professionals and community activists are invited to join others from Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties to be a catalyst for rapid, positive progress towards prosperity for our region, and to contribute to a five-year Economic Prosperity Plan.
