What We’ve Been Up To!

We can't believe how fast May is flying by. Here's a quick look into what the #MMTeam has been up to these past few weeks...

Kiwi, our office cat, is participating in Zoom meetings as well!

We wrapped up the Be Counted Michigan Census Town Hall virtual meetings and they went super well.

“What Happened to Henry?” Wins Student Production Award

Two of our MM video editing interns, Andrew Acciaioli and Fatma Alsaif, worked on a documentary last year that recently won a Student Production Award from the NATAS Michigan Chapter!

The documentary is called "What Happened to Henry?" and tells the story of Henry Baltimore, the first African American drum major in Michigan State Spartan Marching Band, who disappeared in 1973 and hasn't been found since.

We’re in This Together!

Let's take a look at last week's MessageMakers highlights!

First, a quick message from our COO, Tina Miller.

"Thank you to everyone for the work that you do throughout the week from home. I understand that it is challenging sometimes. You have your kids, grandkids and animals waiting for you to be done with work.

How We’re Adapting During COVID-19

"Great things in business are never done by one person, they're done by a team of people." - Steve Jobs

During these weeks working from home, we are focusing on staying connected and the importance of team work. We wanted to highlight some of our team's accomplishments over the past week to encourage others to spread positivity and share how they've been modifying their services and community outreach during this time of uncertainty.

Interns… Where Are They Now?

Joseph Orlando was a graphic design intern with us during the summer of 2013.

"The big project I worked on was creating the promotional materials for the 2013 BluesFest," Joseph says. "I did get to work on a lot of smaller projects that helped me hone in on quite a few different aspects of my design skills as well.

A Special Thanks on This Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone from us here at MessageMakers!

In the spirit Valentine's Day, we wanted to take today to express our love and appreciation to everyone who has supported us over the past 40 years (and counting). To all of our clients we have done business with, thank you.

Pewamo-Westphalia High School Visits MessageMakers!

Pewamo-Westphalia High School came to visit MessageMakers to take a tour of our office, network with us, eat pizza and get some feedback on their PSA short films that they made in groups!

We had so much fun showing them around the studio, telling each of them about what we do and explaining all of our video equipment and services.

How to Be The Interviewee

Here at MessageMakers, we interview a lot of people. Quite frankly, it's one of our favorite parts of what we do. We love getting to meet and learn from all different kinds of interesting people. That being said, we understand that talking in front of the camera can be stressful and nerve-wracking, especially if you don't do it very often.
