We asked our Social Media Manager and Communciation Strategist, Madeline Stamm, a few questions about her experience at MessageMakers over the past two years before she goes off to law school in her hometown of Buffalo, New York!

Q: Why did you choose MessageMakers?

A: I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in journalism, a minor in communications and a concentration in media marketing.

Creating Experiences That Transform: Virtual Event Strategy

As our world has turned virtual, virtual events have become the prominent form of gathering. It is now, more than ever, so important for businesses and consumers to adapt to our new normal, where many presentations, events, birthday parties, work out classes, memorials and more are all taking place online.

This has been a challenging year to say the least but we pushed through it together and found ways to stay safe while still staying connected. We met some of your kids, cats and dogs. We had coffee together while in the comfort of a zoom meeting. We laughed at the virtual backgrounds, the PJ's, the social media memes but we also shared some pretty serious moments during some pretty scary times.

As July comes to an end and we enter into the last month of summer, we wanted to reflect on some things the MM Team has been doing to stay busy during the pandemic. We hope everyone is staying healthy, both mentally and physically. Hang in there! We got this!

We recently produced a Facebook live event for the Lansing School District where they virtually announced and presented their plan for reopening in the Fall.

Kiwi, our office cat, is participating in Zoom meetings as well!

We wrapped up the Be Counted Michigan Census Town Hall virtual meetings and they went super well.

During these weeks working from home, we are focusing on staying connected and the importance of team work. We wanted to highlight some of our team's accomplishments over the past week to encourage others to spread positivity and share how they've been modifying their services and community outreach during this time of uncertainty.

Joseph Orlando was a graphic design intern with us during the summer of 2013.

"The big project I worked on was creating the promotional materials for the 2013 BluesFest," Joseph says. "I did get to work on a lot of smaller projects that helped me hone in on quite a few different aspects of my design skills as well.

We stumbled across an old video production tip sheet and "introduction" to video production resource from a while back (almost exactly 10 years ago) and wanted to compare our decade old video production process to today's. Although some things have changed, such as the technology and distribution methods, the fundamentals of the video production and creative flow have been the same for years.
