MessageMakers has started to do some video work in 3D and set out to do some experimentation last week with a local band, The Hat Madder, looking for a music video.
We found out we had the band available only one day before the shoot, so we quickly came up with a concept. Unfortunately, this concept was to take place outdoors, and sure enough, nature didn't want to cooperate.
Our skilled videographers, Tom Lietz and Tim Whalen, quickly created a completely new concept (and found a new location) on the fly.
"It was a fun and gratifying experience working with the smallest of crews and getting something shot to completion in a new video medium," said Tim. "Working in 3D is a a new experience every time. We had each done some shooting independently with the camera but this was the first time that we had shot together with it. Using both of our skills and techniques learned on our prior shoots, we successfully tackled shooting in 3D with multiple subjects and some space constraints."
